I can't stand fiction, unless it is so over the top that I don't keep wondering how they did some effect, so I guess action movies bother me. I never thought about that. Watching an interview with Meryl Streep on Charlie Rose, about the movie about Julia Child, and was interested. usually I can't stand listening to interviews about some person who wrote a story, and how they made the movie, and what they had to make it. I don't need to watch or listen to what they dreamed up, sometimes in a durnken or drug induced stupor. Music is different for some reason, probably because it isn't about life and living.

except instrumentals.)) Are there horror songs? Maybe some Rap. Action songs? Umm national anthems... I guess without the video.. Forget music vids. They are like movies.))

Another thing I don't like are subtitles, unless they are in the same language, for if you can't make out the speech or accent, and I Really hate the ones you can see through, and can't read, or the ones that last 1 sec. Must have the guy doing the credits placing them.))

My favorite movies are often the foreign movies, even though they have sub-titles. We tend to get the best foreign films here, so even though they take more effort to watch, they are often so excellent that they are worth it.

I prefer watching the actors than reading. Used to be I liked the TV on when listeing to music, and could tell what the story was by their actions. I think a good actor is more fun to watch, when I used to watch fiction.

I may dislike fiction, because when I was real young I hated being scared by horror movies. When I learned how movies were made they didn't bother me after. I would think about all the people off camera probably laughing. I guess I look past the actors to the director to the writer, and wonder what was in their, or what they were on when they wrote the story.))
