The Phila Flyers are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals. Having to get into the playoffs, in the last game of the season, in an OT shootout, they came back from down 0-3 in games, and 0-3 in goals in the last game of the 7 game series of the 2nd round. They dominated Montreal in the 3rd round, who had beaten the 2 top teams in the conference, shutting them out 3 times in 5 games, with their 3rd string goaltender who had to come in in the 2nd round, because the 2nd string one got injured. Star players got injured in the playoffs, 2 with broken toes, one hit with a puck in the face, needing 60 stitches, loosing 5 teeth, and fracturing an eye socket, and another with a brain contusion, and all were back in a week, making the Same risky moves that got them injured, blocking shots with their bodies.

Flyered Up. Tonite the final round starts. The goaltender who had started the playoffs, and was injured in the 2nd round, is dressing tonite. His backup, a journeyman, played as good as could be imagined, getting 3 shutouts in 5 games, and another combined one with the guy who he replaced in the game he replaced him in. The team has had 7 goaltenders this yr, with each getting injured and coming back. Star players got injured and the nite they have come back have scored the goal, sometimes in overtime, to win the game. Many many injuries, and the players come back, and score important goals the same day, as if it was scripted. It's such an unbelievable story. HBO just put out a movie about the 2 mid 70's Champ teams, "The Broad Street Bullies", in time for the playoffs. This years run is looking too increasable to be believable. Tonite starts the last chapter. Will the fairytale have a happy ending??

Lakers v. Celtics... that's a tough call as to who to root for.... I generally root for the Lakers, living just south of LA... but then I'm a big fan of the Celtics because Larry Bird went to my high school, back in the Hoosier state....I think I'll stilll probably be rooting for the Lakers.... I'll be happy whoever wins though... sunny

Can't get into basketball. Not very physical. A friend thought it was more physically demanding than hockey, where the players usualy don't go for more than 45sec at a time because they go so hard they are burned out.

must not be much fun being awake, but it IS when in the mix, win or loose, when having a rooting interest, no matter what it is. When not, Other things are more interesting. Better than being on the outside looking in. That's what antidepressants are used for.

We're Flyered Up........!!!!!!!

Even if the Flyers go down, it Has been F U N!!!! They were picked to be here before the season started, but a Lot on things contributed to a Very mediocre season with Just a few flashes of greatness. They aren't even supposed to be able to compete with the Hawks, who were one of the best teams in the West, which is considered to be a better conference, and they are More than competitive, and could have won all 3 1 goal games so far, with just a few breaks.

Dustin Bufflin's manhood was listed on Craig's List. He is the Hawks Huge defenseman, who could be a NFL lineman. It was said to have been found inside a dumpster outside the arena. He was supposed to have been dominant, but has been neutralized by our guy, who has been taking the puck at the end of the game, that they do when they win. He was asked why he was stealing them, and he said, he didn't know they belonged to the winner....))

It's funny the stuff that comes out or happens. Pronger plays games with the media in interviews. When asked how can the Flyers be playing so tough, he told them, You Guys said it was a mismatch, and calmly walked out.

game 4, 3-1 1st period.

Took a shower before the game started and my radio in the bathroom quit, and I missed the first 2 goals. and had trouble getting another set up, and I said, it was probably 3-1 when I got it working, and it was.

the ride is over, and it was Fun, even if not a victory, it was interesting right to the end, and had to go into OT to finish it.
