Woof.. Woof...

Finally made it to the Greyhound rescue. Asked for a shy or problem dog to walk, to try to help them. Got a dog named, Smooch. He shys away from strangers. He wasn't that friendly with me, so I sat with him tried to get friendly. He wanted to go away from me at first, but then he tolerated me. Took him for a walk around, and along the cyclone fence, that surrounds the place. Let him sniff and check out what he wanted, then he had some loose stools, and I figured That was it, he has something bad going on inside him. Cure that and he will be a new dog, like my last male. Had a different guy put him away. Told him, and don't know if it sunk in. He said, he probably needs to be socialized. Think that will take a Long time, and he will never be that comfortable till he gets straightened out. Thinking of sending an email, so someone higher up might have him checked out.

Looks like I am gona take the 2 Saluki's I was contacted about. The female is gorgeous, and though the male doesn't look as good, with his grizzled coloring, he looks like he would be easy to live with.

This adventure should be fun. Have so much to do to get ready, and hope I do. The dogs shouldn't be a problem though I never had one who protects their food when eating, so that will be new. If she is friendly when I meet her, or she warms up fast, it should be easy, if not she could be work. Sure miss my breeder friend who died, She would have some ideas that would work. LOL, maybe if I put some cayenne on her food, she won't be as protective... and just worried about dealing with the heat. I Do plan to give them some if I see any stomach upsets, and yogurt, and tripe if needed.

Better get working, lots of work to do to get ready.

Doesn't look like I'm gona go get the Saluki's. Don't think the breeder communicates very well. Was supposed to be 2, and No talk of money, even though I asked, and now it is 1 for now, and pretty expensive, and the 2nd one sometime in the future, Maybe, at no charge, and I question that. Doesn't help that the temp Sat. will 100 there, and over it here when I would get back. Asked it they were gona be there Sunday also, since the temps will be 10 deg cooler, but no reply.

I'm not finished working on the yard, and the heat isn't helping with the mid to high 90's every day, and I could get 4 Greyhounds for what she wants for the female. Should have answered when I asked how much early on, not wait till the last minute.

Still working on the yard, but slower.
