| figuring building the new raised panel, glass and wood front door is a brain twister, between All the tools, and cuts that have to be made, Very precisely, and modding the cutters to make the cuts, and figuring how to use other ones that I have. | |

| been having frustrations and successes. Stripped a screw hole on my router trying to rig up a guide for it, then I found a sealed bearing I have that matches the one on the router cutter, to space and make the cutter I have cut the thickness of wood I planned on using. Then hunted for a screw I could use on the stripped hole, and may have found one
This door plan is making me crazy, but then makes me happy...

| this building a new front door job is getting pretty involved. Buying lots of guides and rigs to help, and do the job right. Got in a guide this AM from Ebay to help guide my wood cutting router. It will make some things go easier and better. I was going to make one, but saw one that was sold, for 30$. Then I saw one at a Sears store in NJ for 10. Bridge fare is 5$, then taxes and gas. Found one on Ebay for 9 so bought it. It is missing the part that guides cor cutting circles, but I had made one years ago, and was going to modify that.
Keep reading NOT to use the router free hand, and use a table mounted one. Can't really find out why, but figure it is easier and safer to move the wood, opposed to the router with the size bits you have to use. I did some testing and it is doable hand held, and then I saw a vid of a very powerful router cutting very hard wood being hand held.. Mine is 1/3 the power, and I plan to use softer wood.
I have been looking at router tables, and a nice one is on ebay, and bigger that normal because it has extensions, and only 25 mi away. Visualized getting it, and carrying it home, but Nowhere to put it. Thought about modding my saw table, and couldn't figure how to easily, then had an idea. Not ideal, but worth considering. With raised panel doors, there are LOTS of things to consider. Even the sizes of the pieces, and spaces between them, because wood swells and contracts with temp and humidity, and I'm trying to use as much of the wood possible, so I don't have to buy a lot more than needed, so figuring every inch, and how to have less waste, cutting creatively.

| sorting and organizing while I get ready to start building the door. 20+ years of not doing much, and collecting. I did straighten and organize a few yrs ago, but all that was changed, and moved around, and lots added. No room to work, but have to make some. How to do it is the puzzle. I envision everything cleared and room to work, but that will take some doing.
Checked out the new router guide, to see how much it might flex, and throw off the cutters? Had a plan to support the far end of the router on the other piece of wood that gets cut similar, but the guide which will help, to make light cuts, with more passes gets in the way, and the far end of the guide that can be supported flexes a bit, so have to work that out. Was working on it late with clean clothes, so not the best situation. Gona try again tomorrow. There is a knob that screws 2 parts together, but has 2 threaded holes to change the travel, and maybe securing both with another knob will help. Where to get a knob like it may be hard. Hopefully I have what is needed. Seem to remember something that might work, I hope.

| haqven't worked on the house wiring, to try to figure what the problem is. I like to work in the day so can see by daylight, but I sleep in the day, and have to feel up to doing it. Hard enough to do things that I want to.
Running my fridge off an extension plugged into the bathroom, since I have the first floor shut off. I swap the plug to get on line and have lights, so have to unplug the fridge, but That has been acting up, and the freezer only gets down to 30 anyway, so may be on its way out
Got the TV working, by running another extendion cord to the one going to the bath room. It's a concoction. I'll run the fridge when I sleep.
Learning about electricity, and comparing sources, but they are all the same, so I Tend to believe them, and books I have agree. That mo ron on AWS showed how dumb they are. Figures. Can never figure out what they are typing, and the punctuation doesn't fit, but it is good for a laugh.

| not doing what I planned, but sorting a bit and getting rid of some things. More than trash I generate weekly. Throwing out a few things I have ignored over the years. If things don't work, they are gone. If they have any problem, I'm not keeping them to fix them. If I can't fix them on the spot, they're gone.
I looked up hoarders, to see if I'm one. Doesn't sound like it, but there are similarities.

| Having a time of it. My fridge finally quit, and I picked up a small, dorm sized one to get me by. Should be enough for me, but gettit into the car, and then the house has been a challenge. Have it sitting on top of the dog crate in the living room. Want to try it out first, and then figure what to do. Goan be a change from a 27 cu ft side by side I have, and going to have to clean out. Tomorrow is trash day, so that helps. Have a lot of Other things to get rid of here, but I keep bringing things in.
The old car was low on coolant again, and can't figure where it went. Checking things, it doesn't look like the water pump is working. That will be a hassle. I replaced one, and it wasn't fun. Had to try twice. Has 4 diff sized bolts, and 2 on the bottom are really hard to get out.
Have to find places for stuff I moved.

| slept a few hrs, from 3-5am I guess, and had an interesting dream. Had to turn the power back on since I think I still have to find the problem, thought stopped it before sleeping, but still leery till I am sure. Tied up some metaal trim from a car I had, and must have stripped the aluminum, though not sure why. Tied up a set of golf clubs to make them easier to move and store. Looked for the motor oil I have from the new car to put in the old. Buying the best, and should be good, as little as I drive. Would like to change both today. Have to write down what to do and how, so I don't forget or mix them up. Odd I had the energy, and didn't need any B-1 to get me started. Want to add more antifreeze to both cars, so have to take some old out, and would like to get some new parts for the old car carburetor, but they aren't easy to match up, and there are a bunch. Gona try to draw the shape and match them. Wish I could fine the ones from the old carb to try to repair them. Have the carb, but not all the parts. Should be somewhere, but where?? | |

| heard about hoarders, but never saw it, and don't qualify. My stuff is valuable and usable, just have more than room for, or don't have the strength or mental focus to sift through what can go!!!!!!!!!!!
Gave some new car brakes and oil filters, for a car I don't own anymore, and wouldn't buy, to a mechanic friend. Gave 10 cartons of smokes that I bought to try to save a buck to a guy I know who lives in a SUV, because they didn't agree with me in an odd way. Made my stomach feel funny. A friend started picking up scrap metal and stuff, so have to get him to take the 3 refrigerators I have, since all 3 quit. One was supposed to be fixable according to an AC friend, but I couldn't do it. Had another I was going to make into a functioning wooden ice box to go with my antique dining room stuff, like the cast iron cook stove. Tried to use it when the Big box I was using quit last mo, and it popped a breaker. A friend had given it to me 10yrs ago when he got a new one. It would have looked good, since it had no exposed coils, and I have some antique oak and would have insulated it Real good. Might be something simple, but since a friend can get some money for it, and gets rid of it, figured I'd let him take it since that would be easy. Have a couple window AC's and TV's that quit and he will take and help him move things. I have a hand truck I rarely use I said he could have, which he could use more, and I can borrow if I need it, and get it out of the house,,,,,,,,,
Wouldn't get rid of something I could use, even if I haven't in a long time, but still might want to. Have 1500 sq ft of teak veneer. Used it on all my furniture, and put it around my area rugs, so looks like I have a teak floor. I paid .10/ft, and it goes for Much more, at least $4/ft?????
Wouldn't get rid of a rim for the old car, which I can use for a spare tire, even though it has a mini one. Hard to get Though I Found this one left in Pep Boys lot with a tire I needed. like one on the car...............

| Gona try to work on the basement, and make room for the water meter man to get to it to change the battery. Have a lot to move, and good thing I picked up about 6 cu ft of pearlite, that the bottom of the bag tore open, and it was near there, where I plan to move 2 stacks of paint cans to, but Lots in front of them. There is a small space to get to the meter, once all the stuff is moved, with an oil tank and shelving on either side. Would rather go out, the weather is SO nice, for the first day of winter, but better get working on it | |

| Got to work in the basement. It was rough, since I had to bend over to reach things, and piled small and big bags and boxes where I could, and almost cleared a path to the water meter. Have to sort things better thoughand have a lot more to do. | |

| was wicked yesterday, and pretty cold today. Tomorrow will be mild but rainy. Trying to get the refrigerators out of the yard. Have a friend going to take them, but have to clear the area, and get my hand truck ready, and nylon straps, I thought I knew where they were, and think we're really gona need them. Have to take off the doors to make them smaller and lighter. One is a big side by side, that was hard to get in. Wnated to work earlier, but had to sleep. Seems like I'm functioning now. had to dig the hand truck out in the basement. Used to be a Lot easier before the injury... Now I have the numbness in spots.
Dark out but gona see what I can do...

| slept more and then went into the yard to clean up. Haven't gone out there for a few yrs, and it looked it. Did what I could, and then finishing emptying the fridge of glass bottles. Didn't pickup all the wood chips and debris, and it's going to rain. At least I'm doing something.. | |

| Finally hooked up with my friend and got rid of 2 refrigerators. It was a struggle, but we finally made it. Had to prop up the roof that was coming down, that the refrigerators were holding up.. Have to clean the yard, and stack lots of building materials we moved. Reg trash doesn't take them, unless I hide them in trash bags.. Now have to get ready for the guy to change the water meter, and see what I have to move so he can get to it. | |
