| thought I'd be at least trying the saw, but have to oil it and let it sit overnite, then flip it and oil the other side, and trying to speed it up. Learning how it works, and how to use it. | |

| more work...
slept an hr and woke, and decided to eat. opened the frige and it felt warm. Other things on the circuit didn't seem to work, but have heating elements that take time to warm up, so checked the breakers. One that is marked furnace was tripped, so reset it, but that didn't work. Thought the frige had quit, but plugged it into another outlet and it worked. Don't know how long it was off. Last time I opened it was probably early Monday I didn't check everything but cheeses had thawed. I think the circuit is with the bathroom, so have to check that.
Might take a ride. That relaxes me, but raining out.

| took a ride at 4 AM to unwind. Came back in 40min, and the spot I had near the house was taken. Used to be if I went out after 3AM I always got the spot back, now I don't.
The saw should be oiled by now. Hope it does what I want. Another box to take up space.

| slept a good bit. Maybe over 6 hrs, but did only sleep 1 hr earlier. No rhyme or reason, but I didn't go out and have tea late, it was 5 pm, and only had 1 cup.
Have to get some work done. Guess I'll try the saw. Have to find out how to adjust it, and it has a few.

| learned how to use the saw, even to waxing the table top so the wood slides, and adjusting the blade tension, so have to try it. It takes too long for me to do things, and then more things need to be done, then I want to do even More things, and I never get ahead or finished.
Took some B-1, and hope it gets me moving.

| doing some work with the saw. Trying to finish up and reshape the piece of trim I cut out with hand and power tools. Hope the new pieces will go easier and better. Need to pick up a new hand shaping tool, since mine is getting dull. I wonder how a rod with chips of carbide (diamond) attached to it would work in cutting curves? Have to see if one is made.
My back isn't holding up, getting achey from standing.

| want to go shop for tools, and chack with a neighbor about the lock on the alleyway gate, to see if he knows who has the key, but feel I should be working, since i often don't start again after going out, because that tires me out. Mybe with more tools, info, and food shopping I'll get them out of the way. Now to fix my back. | |

| the saw blade I am looking for is supposed to be sold by Ace Hdwr. Have to call and see if the local one carries it. When I looked it up I didn't notice that it was listed under ACE, on their page. | |

| went out and took a ride, and then to the diner. Only had 1 cup of tea, and got a parking space not that far away when I got back.
Going to look for softer wood for the trim in the basement. Maybe try to get out some trash, but my trash is my treasure.))

| Think I slept 5 hrs. Less tea is probably the reason. Feel energetic.
Want to call ACE hdwr about the saw blade, but they are just opening. Better give them time to get organized. Not familiar with the chain, but the local store looks like it is an OLD one that maybe hooked up with ACE. Like reviews said, it is stuffed with things. I doubt everything is on computer, or if they even have one. Might have a guy who acts like or takes the place of one. One of the stores in NY listed the blade on line, as does the main listing.
Sinuses are running and hesitant to take meds after the palpatations I had twice before, I think they caused, plus I usually have to sleep after taking them.

| local ACE store didn't carry rge saw blade, was ready to order it from NY, but continued to search and info days, just for sanding, not cutting. It is an abrasive blade, bot a toothed one. There are blades with spiraled teeth that should work good being able to cut turns, but don't want to have to wait to receive them. Stores just carry std stuff, | |

| looks like I have the carbide saw blade. Have one for a hanck saw that is 2X as long, and should be able to make 2 out of it, to try it, or sand/shape the trim pieces, and not have to buy ones to try out. Have had it for years, and never used it. Should try it in a hacksaw before cutting it in two, in case it doesn't work as hoped. This stuff is harder than it used to be, but then everything is, and so much more to do, and everything makes it harder, like weather and clutter. | |

| I did a lot, and burned myself out, but not as bad as other times..
Watching vids on how to set up and use rthe saw. Different ones give different information. I would have given it all in one.
Funny, the saw doesn't do much I would want to do after this job Normally It does wimpy stuff.)) I'm using it to cut the max thickness of wood it can handle.
Figuring what to cut off is complicated. The wood only has one sharpe corner I want to have, and then there is ink stamped on it, that might bleed through, and I'm going to cut most of it off, but forget, like what should be the good side.

| If you paint the trim, won't the ink stamp on the backside be sealed in? | |

| The ink might bleed through, like stains in the wood and some spots in the bricks I painted white, to keep the house cooler in the somer, like they do down your way are. I took the paint off the wood years ago to do a better job, and have only repainted some areas. Going to have to use a stain sealer, but don't want to add to potential stains. Was at least going to sand off the ink, but didn't want to make more work than I have to, and I have a lot.
Hope I figure how to use the scroll saw well, and feel creative like I used to be. Can't think of what else I would use it on, and can return it when I'm finished IF I finish before the return policy ends. The videos and info sites give lots of good tips, about lighting and removing saw dust so you can see the lines you are cutting. They said cut ON the line, while my tendency would be to cut just outside it, probably because I'm not that steady and accurate, and can cut or sand to it after, but better get more light, and make sure the air nozzle is aimed right. I bought the cheapest saw i could find, not wanting to spend a lot, when I had planned to improvise, and looks like the saw has a lot of good features.

| didn't get back to work. Didn't think I was going to. Glued up wood to make the wood thicker, to match the old pieces, that would be hard and expensive to get the thickness.
A friend called and asked if I wanted to go get something to eat.. He's an interesting guy and a good friend, but is married and works a lot of hrs, so don't get to see him much, so agreed. I fell asleep, and he had to wake me. Went and had pizza at a local place, and had one with shrimp and muscles and tomato and pesto sauce on it. Not something I would have ordered being a traditionalist, but it was good. The avenue the place was on is an interesting district with trendy shops and restaurants, and we walked to check them out. I live 2 blocks away, and rarely go there. The place was closing so we took a ride to another trendy street, South St, where all the Hippies meet. Most places were closed, and stopped in a little spot that was a bit rough looking for cappichino and my tea. Walked that street, checking the shops. and passed a bar/club that had live music on the 2nd floor, and the band was good, so stopped to listen.
My friend had a new phone that does everything. He uses it for work, so needs all the features. Told me his daughter is going to Dr's and a Naturopath for a condition where here eyebrow hairs are breaking off. When he said he said she was told not to eat fruit, I asked if she had candida, and he said she did. Told him about AWS, and he is going to check it out. Said he goes on Dr Furhman's site.

| Slept about 5 yrs, even though I had a large tea late. Maybe all the pizza I ate absorbed it and it didn't affect me. Think I was waking and the phone rang, or maybe close to waking. Caller ID showed a "P" which has happened often, so didn't answer. Been getting a lot of #'s from way out of my code, so got on the No Call list again, since I think it has to be renewed.
Reading about using the saw and some things are confusing, so going to practice different things I read. Don't like that one site said the blades get dull fast, and need changing often. I didn't want to have to open packs I bought if I didn't need them, and use the ones that came with the saw, if I was going to return it after use, since I can't think of anything else I would need it for, but maybe should try the different blades, to see if one size works better, and how. Not sure what species of wood I am using, but it seems hard, but not the usual hard ones like oak, so don't know what I am dealing with, and what blades and saw speed to use. They say you learn to Feel which to use and how to work it.

| Have to figure out how I'm going to cut the trim pieces. Have to study them so I do it right the first time. When I was young a friends dad used to make model ships, and I'm thinking he cut them out with the type saw I bought. I never saw him make them but looks like he would have used one to make them. | |

| yesterday I had to clear off the table saw top to cut pieces I am going to cut, to length. Thought I had done it right but had to cut them more. I measured the old. worn pieces around the door a few times again, which was a pain. They say, measure twice, cut once. I have to measure 5 or more times. Think they are ready to cut, and I'm ready to make some test cuts on scrap, to learn the saw better. I finished cutting some wood I left using my hand held saw with the new saw, and it came out fair. Don't want to mess up new pieces I am cutting. Want them to be perfect or near it. Would like to see how someone experienced would do it, and the results. Hard to picture them being cut 100yrs ago. Would like to see their saws. May do a search. | |

| http://www.tooltimer.com/barnes2.htmlhaving a seat would be good. If I was going to use it a lot I would rig something up. Have a stool I could use but it is buried, but no room for it. Leaning against the corner of milk crates stacked 3 high. | |
