Pretty, Sweet Friend.

A new young waitress is getting friendly, which is nice. Seems like she is a very quiet type, but started getting chatty. Could be she was new, and learning the menu and people, that made her quiet, but she seems like a very feminine girl. Been asking some personal questions, which is nice she is showing interest, and sorta going out of her way to, and I wonder why? I'm old enough to be her grandfather. Age never concerned me, whether younger or older. Common interests are what counts. Maybe she needs someone to talk to. Sounds like she really likes greyhounds that I have been looking at. I'm not interested in owning one, just want to help out with rescuing. Well, it's interesting she likes dogs, and not Pitt Bulls, like most other people. Seems like Everyone has one, or likes them.

Another young waitress, who has always been friendly, and nice, has been confiding when stressed about something. She has always been good to me, and me her, but it sounds like she is more comfortable with me. I am a friendly person, and like friends. Most of the waiters and waitresses are real friendly. Usually because they have similar interests. Remembering, I haven't seen one in a while, and have to find out if she left. They come and go.

Don't know if she is the prettiest, but she is one of them, and couldn't be any sweeter. Sure feel lucky to have her as a friend...

Haven't seen Cathy all week, and missing her. Will be interesting when I see her again.))

wondering what happened to Cathy? Hope she still works at the diner. Sometimes they are let go home before I get there. Last time I saw her was Sunday, and I went back later, saw her when I parked, but she was gone when I got in. If I go see the dogs, I'll get in early tomorrow.

Went to see the doggies, but I was running late. Wanted to see two of them. The shy male I worked with before, and a super friendly one I saw last time I was there when leaving. Got a shy girl and worked with her. She came around pretty good, but still needs work. Wanted to see the affectionate male, and let me pet him through the bars of the big crates, that look like cells. A female worker who sounded a bit wacky helped me get the dogs, and knew the male that Loved being petted, and we both gave it some attention, but not enough for me or him. Have to make sure I get him out next time. It was feeding time for them, and after the hrs for walking ended, so I left.

Asked about Cathy at the diner because she wasn't at work again today, and I got in earlier, when they were busy, so figured she must of quit or been fired, since 2 other girls have left recently. One girl sounded like she thought I meant a dark haired girl named Kathy, not a blond. Asked another girl who said, she thought she was on vacation. Then I thought, vacations start Now? She has only been there 2-2 1/2 mo. Asked a mgr who said she was on vacation, and she had told them before she was hired that she needed it, so wondering what that is about? She should be back this week.

Think a game is being played... Twice the girl acted very interested, but last night was pretty cool. I had to go get tax forms, but the library was closed, when I had it listed as being open, which was a puzzle. They have strange hrs. I went to Pep Boys to replace a broken cig lighter, and then went to the diner. They were busy, so maybe that was it. Had to go back to PB's and get a diff lighter. It was early, and I helped an older guy fix the wheel on his bike in the lot. Went back to the diner, since I wasn't gona come back later if I came home. Cathy was still acting cool, which was bothering me. I mean, make up your mind. Funny, another younger one who started before Cathy, who is very interesting, has been getting real friendly. At first she was distant, but really warmed up. but she isn't mysterious like Cathy.

I was going to leave, and just had to tell Cathy, she was special. I came out of the mens room, and ran into her. Called her over, and told her how pretty and sweet she was, and she thanked me. Asked if she was from the area, and she said, no, N. Nj, and how could I tell? She is different, being sweet and soft spoken. Told her that is my weakness. I wanted to talk to one of the waiters before I left. He was working in the back, and I didn't see him, so asked. She said he was back there, so went to see him. Maybe she was busy, but seemed to change, and being gone for a week, was kind of frustrating. She seemed to be real interested, so I'm puzzled. Guess I'll see what happens next. I told her how I feel. Maybe she has somebody, and she is a lot younger. Would be nice to have her as a friend.

Better go see about getting tax forms, and do some work on the cars.

Daisey May wasn't there tonite. Maybe her day off or left earlier. Curious how she will act now. Funny how I plan my approach. It takes a lot to interest me. Someone Very special.

Something is going on. Got a hello from her, but something doesn't seem right. One minute she is curious, and then, doesn't seem so. Can't be easy, being in her work place, and new, and seems to be easily turned away, by other employees coming around, and probably her personality, being super sweet and maybe a bit shy, though maybe the shyness isn't true, and it's just her sweetness. Just have to play it by ear, and her being off a week, didn't help trying to figure her out, and I go in, after she sometimes, and others get off. It's not easy being friends with any of the workers, and few of the customers are to my liking. so I avoid them, or prefer they avoid me, so isn't easy. Funny that one friendly young female worker has been getting friendlier, and one real interesting one has started to, so that's life.

Yea I'm hooked... Can't imagine a sweeter creature, and she's pretty to boot. She's just SO dammed feminine, I don't have a chance.))

Rubber Ducky has SPRING FEVER

Part spring, and part sweetness fever. Have a weakness for super feminine... Even love it in K-9's. That's the other side of the coin..

She's in my head. Guess I'm hooked..

What makes her so attractive also makes her hard to interact with. She seems to have a shyness. There is interest, but gets side tracked if anyone is around, which slows any progress. Doesn't help that she often gets off as I am coming in. Last night I went in earlier that usual, and she got off right after I got in. Thought I had seen her through the window when going in, since all other blonds are short, then I didn't till she was leaving. Every situation is different, but this is frustrating. It takes someone special to motivate me, so it is frustrating to miss an opportunity, or it to be cut short. I told her I think she is special, so have to just see what happens. Sometimes they say they aren't interested, just to become Real interested a few weeks later.

Saw her tonight, and she didn't acknowledge me, so I just ignored her. Now they were busy, but when she slowed down, she came over to chat. So hard to have a conversation wit them working, or even when they take a break. Still don't know why she is down here, and want to see if she wants to go see the greyhounds, since she said she likes them. Seems shy or sensitive, so maybe it's better it's taking time. Doubt she has lived in the area long, so might all be different or new. She seems comfortable with me, in her sensitive way. Probably scare her if I move too fast. I say shy, but she started talking to me first.)) Maybe because everyone else does, she felt I was safe.))

Don't know what to make of the girl? Sometimes she is mighty interested, and others not at all. Think it is a bit complicated, since she isn't from the area, and I heard her telling someone, she graduated from college as an art major. She isn't a pushy type, and walks away if someone starts chatting with me, like a mgr, or even another waitress comes who is working where I am sitting. Sometimes she seems shy, but will ask personal questions. Sorta reminds me of a waitress I asked out years ago. She taught at a college and was off for the summer. Made me wait 3 weeks, till she said she was ready.. Have ideas why she made me wait. Not expecting much in this situation, because of the situations with her and me, but sure would be nice, no matter what happened...

I have a lot to do, but then she comes along... Said she really likes Greyhounds, so trying to get her involved some, since I am.

The girl is a puzzle, but aren't they all.))) In some ways she seems shy and sensitive, but when she talks she seems pretty outgoing. It's like she throws a switch. LOL... If someone comes when we are talking, she walks away. It's complicated because she is new to the job, and one time the mgr came to tell me something, and then a screechy waitress whose station I was sitting at. Don't expect much from her, but friendly conversation. Another young girl is Very talkative, but then I guess that is Her manner. She is always doing something creative that we discuss. She is making soap and dandelion wine. Last night she said she had her crock pot going at home making Lamb stew. I thought she said Clam, and asked how it was different from Chowder.))

Wonder what is going to happen? I was going to the diner a bit earlier to try to see her, since she leaves early sometimes, but going back to my usual time, between the loonies, and finding a parking space. Have to time Everything here. Have one waitress I try to avoid, because her voice is like chalk on a blackbord, and I hear it often. Wonder what I would do if Cathy had one like that??

Feel like we're playing a game. Saw her leaving last night, when I was driving in. Maybe shy or strange. The young mgr is also. Says hello, occassionally, but rare. Maybe because he sees me so often.)) I usualy figure how to get what I want, but sometimes I am surprized how it happens, and this may be one...

Need to solve the problem, and find out what her interest was. It takes someone special to spark my interest. I usually do something extreme, but with the age difference, and not looking for a lot, and that she works in the diner, so I want to temper my interest to a degree. Thought about buying her something, but better not. Don't think she is shy, though her actions sometimes make it seem that way, but just think she is sensitive, or rather Ultra sensitive in ways, that can make her interest seem off and on. She doesn't like to interfere in things that are happening, or that happen.

I offered to take her to go see the Greyhounds that she expressed interest in. That would be a nice thing to do, and not get too involved, and just a casual type date. My interest in the Greyhounds has made me look into them more, and that gets me more interested in Saluki's and the desert type Afghan Hounds, that I had one of, who are different from the more common mountain type, that most in the states are. Would be interesting if she developed a similar interest. The Saluki's are closer to Greyhounds, like the desert type Afghans are.

Finally had a decent conversation with her. Had to make sure I did.Couldn't have been much harder, having the screetch oul wait on me, while she worked where I often sit, but it was a bit crowded. After a short while I was able to get to it. This is difficult with all the complications. She is from out of town, and said she isn't crazy about the city. She came here to go to school. Sounds like she may go home.

I usually get what I want, and since my injury, I haven't even tried, but this situation seemed to fall right in my lap, but maybe just seemed that way. Usually just making a move, and if not responded to, letting it sit, and soom it is accepted. Every situation is a bit different, and wonder what this one will be.

Should have told her she will be missed if she left, but the situation or I wasn't ready for that. I will eventually I guess, like I have been thinking I want to call her, Daisey Mae, and finally told her that's what she reminds me of, a country girl. Guess I'll just keep trying to talk to her, which isn't always easy, since she usualy works the booths. Sundays she seems to work the counters.

Been thinking about the Greyhounds, and think I want one, an Afghan and a Saluki. They would be tough to have here. Was telling Cathy, and don't think she knew what an Afghan was, which are my fav, but she said, the ones with the long hair? Sounds like she found out.

Guess I'll just play the game.. Time to do my taxes...

Still trying to figure her out. Have a feeling she is going to go back to N. NJ, since she mentioned wanting to move out of the city. Hate to lose her. She is special.

What to do? This could be a problem in the long run. Guess I'll just play it by ear.

She seems to be a little more friendly. Decided to tell her, we may be loosing her, since she said so. Told her that would be a sad day here, and she said she has to move around. Told her if I could help her with anything to ask.
Said she was OK, so asked how long she has been in the area, and she said 2 yrs. Said I guess she knows her way around and she agreed, but thanked me. Gona leave her alone for a while. Sure gona miss her if she does leave, She is a sweetheart, pretty, and sweet. Maybe I needed her and the new supps to get me in gear.

Guess I'll stay with the plan on trying to get better. Cathy was a part of that. It's a complicated situation, and one I doubt people understand. Even close friends don't seem to. Yesterday was stressful and did me in. It's frustrating, but what I have to deal with.

Helped a guy get started in a parking lot yesterday. I wasn't up to it, but he was in need. It was a diner lot and he was with his wife. I used to enjoy helping people out, but one time not even getting a thank you, and my condition, made me decide to pass on situations. He was pretty despirate. I decide to try, because he was upset, being stuck. Took a little doing but got it done, and he thanked me with 5$.
