PC Stuff....

been getting by with an older version of Linux, though could be better. Bought a DVD, and having a hard time getting it to play. In Linux I need to get around the encryption, and that isn't easy. Maybe in a newer version, which I have, but can't get it to load. I installed Win XP on a hard drive, and can get the video, but can't get the sound to work.

With the old Linux, I can't get newer versions of Firefox to work, but did in XP, and it is different. There are things I don't like in it, but I don't like some things in Internet Explorer, that I never really used.

Have to figure how to get the DVD to play, and it might be tricky, and not easy. Some Fun...

doesn't look like I am going to be able to play a dvd I bought on my machines at this time. Missing files that will allow reading of encrypted dvd's. I tried to find and load thefiles I need, but seems like most of the info is just fromusers, who don't know enough to get it working. If they did, maybe they just got lucky. Guess I'm going to have to set up a stereo reciever I have with a DVD player built in, and been wanting to do that for a yr or two. so not very likley.
